DESCRIPTION:'On Saturday 16th May 2026\, Maria Culley and I (Allie Bell)\, will be walking 21km across London… with prams!\nWe’re doing this to raise vital funds for the National Nanny Association\, so we can continue the work our members deserve — growing our organisation\, strengthening the nanny profession\, and advocating for the children and families we care for'.\n\nWhy we’re fundraising\nThe UK nanny sector plays a crucial role in home-based childcare\, yet it remains one of the least understood and least regulated areas of early years care. The National Nanny Association was formed to change that — through:\n✨ Advocacy with government\, policymakers and sector organisations\n✨ Professional development for nannies and families\n✨ Raising standards and awareness of the nanny profession\n✨ Networking\, resources and support for members\n✨ Campaigning for regulation and mandatory safeguarding checks\nOver the past year we have proudly:\n• Led the campaign The Road to Nanny Regulation\, gaining cross-party support in Parliament\n• Spoken at sector conferences and events\n• Built strong relationships across early years organisations\n• Launched resources\, blogs\, campaigns and training for nannies\n• Appeared in media raising awareness of safeguarding and childcare reform\n• Continued to grow our membership and community\nNow we want to go even further — and that’s where this fundraiser comes in.\n\nFunds raised will help us to:\n✔ Exhibit and network at key childcare and early years events\n✔ Expand our member resources and training\n✔ Continue our advocacy work for regulation and safeguarding reform\n✔ Grow our membership base and regional network\n✔ Support operational costs as we scale\n✔ Strengthen the Association for long-term impact\n\nIf you’d like to join the walk — with or without a pram — you are very welcome! It is designed by a full time working nanny who understands what workshops will offer you ideas and techniques that you can use right away. The conference is casual and has a fun\, laid back vibe. We take learning seriously but we know play is important for kids and for us adults as well. Over the years the community has grown and is very inclusive\, helpful and supportive. Lifelong friends meet each year at Nannypalooza'. \n  \n
