Family assistant/nanny in Overveen
Sisters seek a family assistant/nanny three days per week from 10.30 8.30pm. It can be any three days Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
The family just moved to Overveen. The house is a seven minute walk from the station, perfect if you are commuting.
The eldest is nearly two, her baby sister was born in June 2022.
Ideally you can start ASAP however they can wait until 2023 for the right candidate.
The plan is for both parents to work full time, the girls will be in daycare four days a week. You would arrive at 10.30am to do family assistant duties then collect the girls in the afternoon, give them dinner, bath them and put them to bed. If the girls are off daycare due to closures or illness you would be responsible for them during the day.
Candidates who are calm natured, playful, energetic and plan a structured week is required.
The toddler has a structured routine, eats well, and sleeps well. She loves climbing, is talkative and loves being with other children. They love having activities at home as well so a nanny happy to do painting and cooking projects would suit.
The family uses explanations and distractions, encourages independence and is safety conscious. They don't use screen time with the children.
They would like a nanny who can commit long-term.
Duties: All standard nursery duties and tidying up after yourself and the children, the children's bedroom and living area are part of your duties. Cooking for the family is a requirement. The toddler eats a varied healthy diet, the family avoids processed food, sugar and salt. They cook from scratch so a nanny happy to make sauces, soups and fresh homemade food is needed. Cleaning isn't your responsibility however you need to clean the kitchen after use and hoover the whole if it's messy from the children. If you are happy to do the food shopping and laundry for the family that would be appreciated. However the family are flexible on the duties. You will have plenty of time for family assistant duties during the day as the girls are at daycare. If they are sick you will be responsible for caring for them instead of your family assistant duties. The children are the priority.
Experience and qualifications required: Candidates must have at least four years childcare experience including nanny experience to apply. This role is for an experience, confident nanny.
Skills required: A Portuguese or Dutch speaker is preferred but English would also work. Being happy to cycle the bakfiets or use public transport is important.
For this role you will need to be self employed or work under the Regeling dienstverlening aan huis.
Agency requirements: Applicants must have an EU passport or already have a permit or visa for the Netherlands. Applicants need a minimum of three years of full-time professional childcare experience, valid pediatric first aid, and a recent police check to register.
