URGENT - Short term nanny needed

Five year old little girl and her two year old brother seek a nanny. They can be flexible on which three weekdays as long as it includes a Tuesday and is between Monday - Thursday, the hours are 9 - 5pm. The family needs someone to start next week or at the latest the beginning of January.

This is a short term position, the youngest starts daycare in March so they only need a nanny until the end of March. If you wanted to stay working for the family from 3 - 6pm three days per week from April onwards that is an option but not a requirement. The priority is finding a nanny who can work three days a week from now until the end of March.

Candidates need a genuine interest in childcare, calm disposition, organised, upbeat, proactive and encourage the children’s independence.

The eldest has a strong imagination, loves fact finding, and is learning to read and write. She attends a local Dutch school. The two year old loves his mornings out and about before his nap. In the afternoons they collect his sister from school and do park trips and playdates.

This is a sole charge role although the Mum aims to take time off during school holidays. The nanny will need to do the school pick up. Preparing dinner for the children, tidying up and standard nursery duties are part of the nanny's responsibilities. The youngest has a peanut allergy, he also needs to avoid processed food.

The family would prefer the nanny to avoid using public transport with the children. They are located in a very family friendly neighbourhood.

The Mum may travel every six weeks for work.

Ideally you have childcare qualifications, Montessori training is a bonus. You need previous childcare experience including nanny experience to be considered for this role.

The family are very welcoming, understanding and keen to build a strong relationship with their nanny.

For this job you need to be self employed or working under Regeling dienstverlening aan huis. To apply you must have a valid first aid certification and recent police check, EU passport or residence permit for Netherlands.
